Label Generator — User Guide
This extension prints labels from your Equipe show, as a PDF laid out to match your label sheet — for example the Bruneau 70 × 35 mm sheet, 24 labels per A4 page.
It comes in two versions, with the same screen and the same settings; only the content of the labels differs:
| Version | Each label shows | Which labels are printed |
| Participant labels | Horse number and name, rider nation and name, your logo, club number and a free text | The competitions you choose |
| Competition labels | Date, competition number, class/type, arena | Automatically: every CSI competition of the current week |
Open the extension from the show in Equipe: there is nothing to log into.
1. Choose the competitions (participant labels)
Pick a competition in Select Competition: it moves to Selected Competitions. Repeat to add more; the red bin removes one.
The competition labels version skips this step.
2. Add a logo (participant labels)
Upload a JPEG or PNG image. It is printed at the bottom left of each label. Without a logo, the text uses the full width.
3. Choose the label sheet
Pick your sheet in the presets at the top of the dimensions section. For the Bruneau sheet, choose:
Bruneau 70 × 35 mm — 24 per A4 sheet (ref. 171-37)
All dimensions are filled in at once. Avery formats are also available in the competition labels version.
Other sheets
If your sheet is not in the list, enter its measurements (decimals allowed, e.g. 8.5):
| Field | Meaning |
| Rows / Columns | Number of labels down and across one page |
| Label width / height | Size of one label (mm) |
| Column / row gutter | Space between labels (0 if they touch) |
| Page margins | Blank border around the labels (mm) |
Measure carefully: a margin rounded from 8.5 to 8 mm is enough to shift the bottom labels.
4. Options (participant labels)
- Custom Text — text printed at the bottom of every label.
- Sort by — horse number, rider last name or rider first name.
- Print only horses not present before — leaves out horses marked Already on place (see the Already On Site — Vet Check extension).
5. Print
Click Generate and Print Labels. The PDF opens in a new window and the print dialog appears.
In the print dialog — this is essential:
- Scale: Actual size / 100%. Never Fit to page or Shrink to fit: the labels would drift further down the page.
- Margins: None.
- If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for the site.
First time: print one page on plain paper, hold it against a label sheet in front of a window and check the alignment.
6. Adjust for your printer (if needed)
Every printer has a small offset. If the whole print is shifted evenly, correct it with:
- Offset X — positive moves everything right, negative left;
- Offset Y — positive moves everything down, negative up.
Adjust by 0.5 mm at a time. Once set, the values stay valid for that printer.

FAQ
Labels drift more and more towards the bottom of the page. The PDF was printed with Fit to page. Print again at Actual size / 100%.
Everything is shifted the same amount in one direction. Printer offset: correct it with Offset X / Y.
Long horse or rider names are cut. Text is reduced automatically to fit. If it is still too tight, use a wider label or a shorter custom text.
The text touches the logo. Use a taller label.
No PDF appears. Allow pop-ups for the site and try again.
A name shows wrong characters (é, ç…). Report the name concerned: most cases are corrected automatically.
A label is missing or blank. The entry is missing information (horse, rider…) in Equipe and is skipped. Complete it in Equipe and print again.
