Hippodata Import — User Guide

This extension imports an FEI event from Hippodata into Equipe: competitions, start lists and results, including team competitions (Nations Cup).

You can import everything at once, or step by step as the show goes on.

Before you start

  • Open the show in Equipe.
  • Have the FEI Show ID of the event at hand (the FEI event identifier).

1. Find the event

  1. In Equipe, open the show and click Import from Hippodata.
  2. Enter the FEI Show ID.
  3. Click Search Event.

The extension shows the event name and venue, and the list of all its competitions with their import status.

2. Choose what to import

For each competition, tick what you want to import:

Option What it imports
Class Import The competition itself: name, dates, prize money, FEI article
Startlist Import Riders, horses and entries
Result Import Results: times, faults, rankings, statuses
Team Class Marks the competition as a team event (Nations Cup)
FEI Article The competition format according to FEI rules

Riders and horses that already exist in Equipe are recognised and not duplicated.

3. Team competitions (Nations Cup)

When Team Class is ticked, the extension:

  • creates a team for each nation with at least 3 riders;
  • creates the national clubs with their flags;
  • links each rider to their national team;
  • imports the team results.

A rider who completed round 1 but did not start round 2 is marked Abstained: their round 1 faults still count for the team, and the result shows e.g. 8-ABST. A rider eliminated or retired keeps that status; they are not marked as abstained.

4. What the results contain

  • Up to 5 rounds per competition, with times, faults and rankings.
  • Special statuses: Eliminated, Retired, Disqualified, Withdrawn, No show and, for teams, Abstained.

FAQ

A competition cannot be ticked for start lists or results. The competition itself has not been imported yet: tick Class Import as well, or import it first.

A rider shows "Abstained" in an individual competition. This only happens in team competitions. Check that Team Class was ticked only for team events, then import the results again.

An eliminated or retired rider shows the wrong status. Import the results again once Hippodata has published the final results.

Riders or horses appear twice. They exist in Equipe under a different name or FEI ID than in Hippodata. Merge them in Equipe.
