Extension FFE ⇄ Equipe — User guide
1. What the extension does
The extension connects the FFE (French Equestrian Federation, FFECompet) with Equipe, for show jumping and dressage:
- Import: it reads the entries XML file exported from FFECompet and automatically creates competitions, riders, horses, clubs, officials and entries in Equipe.
- Export: once competitions have been run, it generates result files in FFE format (FFECompet V24 TXT or SIF XML) to upload back into FFECompet.
2. Requirements
- The FFE extension is enabled on the show in Equipe.
- You have the entries XML file downloaded from FFECompet (e.g.
202642038.xml). - One file per discipline: the FFE requires a separate result file for each discipline. A mixed jumping + dressage show therefore produces two export files (see section 7).
3. Opening the extension
Open the show in Equipe, then launch the FFE extension. The connection to Equipe is automatic: no key or URL to enter.
Use the 🇫🇷 / 🇬🇧 flags at the top right to switch the interface language.
On opening, the extension checks whether the show already contains FFE competitions: - none → the import screen is shown directly; - at least one → the list of imported competitions is shown.
Use the View imports and New import buttons to switch between screens.
4. Importing entries
- Click New import.
- Select the FFE XML file, then click Analyse file.
- Check the summary:
- show name, FFE number, dates and organiser;
- number of competitions, riders, officials, horses, clubs and entries.
- Select the competitions to import. They are grouped by date; a badge shows the discipline (H = jumping, D = dressage). All are ticked by default; use Select all / Deselect all in the Quick selection block.
- Choose the competition level (Club, Local, Regional, National, Elite, International).
- Click Import.
What is created in Equipe
| Item | Jumping | Dressage |
| Competitions | Name = FFE category (e.g. "Préparatoire (1,10 m)"), displayed number FFE-1, FFE-2… |
Same |
| Judging | Judging table converted from the FFE article to the matching 2026 FEI article (e.g. 238.1.1 → 220.1.1.1) | Test recognised from the FFE protocol |
| Height | Read from the category name (e.g. "(1,10 m)") | — |
| Arena and time | Arena name and start time | Same |
| Entries | Riders, horses (SIRE number), clubs, back numbers | Same |
| Officials | Officials listed in the XML | Same |
| Custom fields | "Engagement terrain" (on-site entry) and "Invitation organisateur" (organiser's invitation), created if at least one imported competition allows them | Same |
Re-import: you can re-import an updated XML file (new entries, etc.). Competitions you have edited manually in Equipe are not overwritten.
Judging tables: analysing the XML also stores the FFE judging table of each competition, then shown in the list of imported competitions. For competitions already imported, just analyse the XML again (New import → Analyse → Back), without re-importing.
5. Running the show in Equipe
Run the show as usual in Equipe: starting orders, scoring, rankings, prize money.
On-site entries: an entry taken on site is marked with a negative back number (e.g. -5) or with the Engagement terrain custom field. It is automatically declared to the FFE in the export file.
Dressage: place the judges on their positions (C, H, M, B, E) and enter each judge's marks in Equipe. The export includes each judge's score and percentage, the average, the total and the collective marks.
6. Monitoring imported competitions
The View imports screen lists the FFE competitions of the show, grouped by date. Each row shows:
- the discipline (H = jumping, D = dressage), the competition number and name, the FFE show number;
- the FFE judging table (e.g. "Barème A sans chrono, sans barrage
238.1.1"), if it was stored when the XML was analysed; - Results: 🏆 at least one combination has a result · 🕓 competition not run yet;
- Exports: export buttons, shown only when results exist.
Above the list, a line shows the status of the custom fields: - ✅ present: everything is in place; - ❌ missing: click Create to add them to the show.
Showing the custom fields in the start list
The two fields (Engagement terrain — on-site entry, and Invitation organisateur — organiser's invitation) are not shown by default in Equipe start lists. To display them:
- Open a competition's start list in Equipe.
- Tools menu → Field selector (shortcut
vv). - Add the Start custom fields column.
Both fields then appear as columns: you can see at a glance which combinations entered on site or were invited by the organiser, and tick or untick them if needed. These values are the ones declared to the FFE in the export file.
The Refresh button reloads the list.
7. Exporting results to the FFE
| Button | Content | Format |
| FFE (on a row) | Results of one competition | FFECompet V24 TXT |
| SIF (on a row) | Results of one competition | WinJump / SIF XML |
| Export all (below the list) | All competitions that have been run | FFECompet V24 TXT |
The file is downloaded automatically; then upload it into FFECompet.
Mixed jumping + dressage show: Export all prepares one file per discipline but only downloads the first one. A message then shows how many files were generated. For the other discipline, use the FFE button of each competition.
What the export contains
| Jumping | Dressage | |
| Per combination | Faults and time (round and jump-off), placing, prize money | Each judge's score and percentage (C, H, M, B, E), average %, total, collective marks, placing, prize money |
| Statuses | Eliminated (EL), retired (AB), disqualified (DI), non-starter (NP) | Same |
In all cases: - only combinations that actually competed are exported; - a competition not yet run is never exported, and a combination that has not started yet is left out; - on-site entries and organiser's invitations are declared automatically; - judges and prize money are exported when filled in Equipe; both are optional in the FFE format.
8. FAQ
The competition shows "Pending" although it is finished. Check that the results have been entered in Equipe, then click Refresh.
A combination is missing from the export. It probably has no result entered (no ranking, no EL/AB/NP status). Complete it in Equipe and export again.
The judging table (jumping) or the test (dressage) was not set. The FFE code has no known match. Set it manually in Equipe; it will no longer be overwritten by a re-import.
The height was not set (jumping). The height is not in the FFE category name. Set it manually in Equipe.
The judging table is not shown in the list of imported competitions. Analyse the XML again (New import → Analyse → Back), without re-importing.
Custom fields are shown as "missing". Click Create on the View imports screen. Custom fields already defined on the show are preserved.
Only one file downloaded with "Export all" on a mixed show. This is expected for now: use the FFE button of each competition of the other discipline.
