# Competition Labels — User Guide

This extension prints **one label per competition** of your show, as a PDF laid out to match your label sheet.

Typical uses: competition markers for the office wall, result envelopes, judge folders, ring binders, boxes for course plans.

There is nothing to select: the competitions are taken from the show automatically. You only set up the label sheet.

## 1. Open the extension

Open it from the show in Equipe: there is nothing to log into.

## 2. Choose the label sheet

Click one of the **presets**: all the measurements are filled in at once (the fields flash green to confirm).

The values stay editable: a preset is a starting point. Sheets with the same reference but from another manufacturer can differ by a millimetre or two — adjust the margins if needed.

### Other sheets

Enter the measurements of your sheet, in **millimetres** (the manufacturer's datasheet gives them):

| **Column / Row Gutter** | Space **between** labels (0 if they touch) |
| **Margin Left / Top / Right / Bottom** | Blank border of the page |

Everything must fit on an **A4 page (210 × 297 mm)**:

- columns × width + gutters + left and right margins ≤ **210 mm**
- rows × height + gutters + top and bottom margins ≤ **297 mm**

*Example, Avery L7160: 3 × 63.5 + 2 × 2.5 + 7 + 7 = 209.5 mm — it fits.*

> Settings are **not saved**: reloading the page resets them. Note the values you use for recurring shows.

## 3. Print

Click **Generate and Print Labels**. The PDF opens in a new window and the print dialog appears.

In the print dialog — **this is essential**:

1. **Scale**: **Actual size / 100%** — never *Fit to page* or *Shrink to fit*.
2. **Margins**: **None**.
3. If nothing opens, **allow pop-ups** for the site.

**Before printing on labels:** print one page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet in front of a window to check the alignment.

The PDF is created fresh each time: changes to the schedule are always included.

## FAQ

**"Please allow pop-ups to print the PDF".**
Your browser blocked the new window. Allow pop-ups for the site and click **Generate** again.

**Labels drift more and more down or across the sheet.**
The PDF was printed with *Fit to page*: print at **Actual size / 100%**. If it persists, measure the sheet again.

**Labels spill onto an extra page.**
The measurements do not fit on A4. Check them with the two rules above.

**The preset is applied but the print is still misaligned.**
Your sheet differs slightly from the reference: adjust the margins by hand from the preset values.

**The PDF is empty.**
The show has no competitions yet. Create the competitions in Equipe, then generate again.

**Nothing happens when I click Generate.**
Close the extension, reopen it from the show and try again. If it persists, contact the administrator with the show number.
