# Nation Statistics & Prize Money Report — User Guide

This extension produces a **PDF report** for one week of a show:

1. **participation by nation** — host nation versus other nations;
2. **prize money** — per CSI competition, with subtotals per category and a grand total.

It is meant for FEI reporting, organiser summaries and post-show accounting.

---

## 1. Create the report

Open the extension from the show in Equipe, then:

| Field | What to choose |
|---|---|
| **Week / Show** | The week of the report (one report = one week) |
| **Competitions** | The masterlists to use for the nation statistics. Hold **Ctrl** (**Cmd** on Mac) to select several |
| **Host Nation** | The organising country — required |

Click **Generate PDF Report**. The PDF downloads directly, e.g. `12345-prize-distribution-2026_CI_0799.pdf`.

> The **Competitions** selection only affects page 1. Page 2 always covers **all CSI competitions of the week**.

---

## 2. What the report contains

Both pages show the show number, the week and the contact details in the footer.

### Page 1 — Nations Statistics

One table per selected masterlist:

| Row | Content |
|---|---|
| **Host Nation (XXX)** | Riders and horses from the host country |
| **Other Nations** | Riders and horses from all other countries |
| **Total** | Both rows together |

- Riders and horses are counted **once each**, even if entered several times.
- The figures are based on **entries**, whether or not the riders actually competed.
- Selecting many masterlists can make page 1 run over several pages.

### Page 2 — Prize Money Distribution

One line per CSI competition of the week: number, name and subtitle, number of ranked riders and prize money in euros.
Below: a **subtotal per category** (CSI1 to CSI5, CSIO, CSIYH, CSIAm-A, CSIAm-B, CSIP, CSIV, CSIU25) and the **grand total**.

> Prize money is final only once it has been **finalised in Equipe**. A report made during the show shows provisional figures.

---

## 3. How competitions are recognised

- Only competitions whose name contains **CSI** are included on page 2; competitions marked **DNC** are left out.
- The category is read from the competition name. Common spellings are accepted: `CSI3*`, `CSI 3*`, `CSI-3`, `CSI***`, `CSIO5*`, `CSI YH`, `CSI Am-A`…
- A competition whose name matches **no category** is shown but **not counted** in the subtotals or the grand total.

## FAQ

**The week list is empty.**
No competition name contains "CSI", or no prize money has been entered yet. Check the competition names and the prize money in Equipe.

**The prize money total is lower than expected.**
A competition name was not recognised as a category. Compare it with the spellings above — an extra character or an unusual abbreviation is the usual cause. Correct the name in Equipe and generate the report again.

**Page 1 is empty.**
No masterlist was selected, or the selected lists have no entries with a rider, a horse and a nation filled in.

**The host nation row shows zero.**
The selected country does not match the nation codes used in Equipe (three-letter IOC codes, e.g. BEL, FRA).

**The PDF is blank or will not open.**
Generate it again. If the problem persists, contact the administrator with the show number.
